The 2nd Global Design Forumand Tea Storage Summit: Energy Roots in Belief!

  • December 23, 2025

The 2nd Global Design Forumand Tea Storage Summit—co-hosted by Designwire, the Tea Cellar, Hongyi Acadamy, and Aman Jingmai—has successfully concluded in Jingmai Mountain, a World Cultural Heritage site. It was a grand feast of civilization spanning design, humanity, and tea culture.

The summit specially invited global design visionaries including Glenn Pushelberg, Marwan Al-Sayed, Michael Gabellini, Yoshiki Toda, and Martin Castle, alongside heavyweights from the tea domain like Wang Xufeng and Xi Gelun. From architecture to spatial narrative, and from cultural translation to ecological symbiosis, we witnessed soul-stirring speeches that leverage trust to build a new ecosystem for Chinese tea. Together with modern dance artist Gao Yanjinzi, renowned Chinese portrait photographer Xiao Quan, Chairman of Songtsam Group Baima Duoji, and over 300 peers from the fields of real estate, hospitality, design, art, and collecting, the event promoted the sustainable development of a pluralistic ecology to realize a human aesthetic community where “each cherishes its own beauty, and all beauties are shared in harmony.”

U-Theatre · “He” (Harmony) Tea Ceremony

The Tea Cellar joins hands with U-Theatre and Hongyi Acadamy, pioneering a “Theatrical Act-style Tea Ceremony”, bringing a four-act dual narrative of Tea × Drumming experience.

On Jingmai Mountain, right above the Tea Cellar, tea returns us to the rhythm of nature, while the drums remind our bodies of the weight of the earth. This was a journey woven with tea as the longitude and drums as the latitude: four breaths, four directions, four major tea categories. Through the process of gazing at the mountains, listening to the drums, and tasting the tea, observers learned how to once again coexist with the world, with nature, and with themselves.

“He” (Harmony) is not a grand answer, but a genuine encounter—between you and me, humanity and nature, heaven and earth, and the universe within one’s heart. This was not a performance to be watched, but a segment of time to be stepped into and completed together.

Designwire as the Connector, weaving a cross-domain value community. Along the journey with the Masters, participants explored the thousand-year-old ancient tea forests in the heart of the World Heritage site, traced their steps through the ancient villages of Nuogan and Wengji, and visited masterworks such as the Tea Cellar designed by Marwan Al-Sayed, the Qiyun Villa by KHA, and the Cloud Pavilion by Michael Gabellini, fully experiencing the harmonious symbiosis among forests, tea, and humans.

All of this has transcended being a mere cross-industry event; using tea as a medium, it has precisely connected heritage protection, international design, hospitality aesthetics, local communities, and global elites to forge an efficient, sustainable resonance of value. Its grandest and most profound significance lies in becoming the proposer and co-builder of future aesthetic lifestyles.
